The clubhouse interior was completely rebuilt and redesigned in 2009, and now offers the best possible facilities to complement a day’s golf at The Berkshire.
Main Bar And Honours Hall
The Main Bar is open to all members and visitors. It offers smart, comfortable surroundings in which to enjoy a drink after golf, or a coffee, and perhaps a kummel, after lunch. The newly designed Honours Hall is a light, attractive room to relax in, and it offers plenty of space to hold a prize giving, or for golfers to meet in before the day’s golf.
In the Dining Room, you can enjoy a traditional carvery lunch which is regularly described by visitors as one of the very best. A wide selection of cold starter dishes is followed by a choice of roasts, along with specially prepared dishes such as grilled fish, curry or steak and kidney pie, all served with roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables. To finish, choose from a superb array of traditional desserts such as treacle sponge or sticky toffee pudding. It is undeniably a highlight of a day at The Berkshire.
The Snack Bar offers a lighter alternative for lunch, with a wide ranging menu of sandwiches, salads and other dishes. In the mornings, it also serves a full English breakfast or bacon and sausage baps, along with tea and coffee. The window offers a view out onto the 1st hole on the Blue.
The Terrace must surely be one of the most delightful places in the world of golf in which to sit and relax after a round, as it gives a stunning view of the entirety of the magnificent 1st hole on the Blue Course. As you enjoy a drink, or a meal from the Snack Bar, you can take in the spectacle of fellow golfers dealing with the challenges of this beautiful, very challenging par 3.
